Scope
Standardization of acceptance sampling including:
The large discrete manufacturing industries, in particular, defence, aerospace and automotive, were the main target of the SC 5 standards. The current focus of SC 5 is expanding to industries like pharma, food, medical devices, financial auditing and service industries. This focus has a repercussion on the required methodology.
In particular, the aspect of exploiting prior information for the design and operation of sampling tables is becoming paramount for the work of SC 5
