Agricultural food products -- General directions for the determination of nitrogen by the Kjeldahl method
This standard has been revised by ISO 1871:2009
Application to products containing only nitrogenous copounds which are directly determinable by the Kjeldahl method. The method consists in destructing of organic matter by sulphuric acid in the presence of a catalyst, rendering of the reaction product alkaline, distillation and titration of the liberated ammonia.
