Water is emerging as one of the defining challenges of our time. Climate change and fast-paced technological development are placing increasing pressure on water resources.

Climate impacts are accelerating, putting people’s lives, infrastructure and local economies at risk. While adaptation commitments continue to grow, turning them into effective action remains a major challenge.

The question is no longer whether women belong in leadership. It is how to ensure they have the influence, opportunities and support needed to shape decisions at the highest levels.

Emerging tech & AI

As technology evolves at unprecedented speed, how can we ensure innovation remains safe, secure and accountable? This agenda area examines the frameworks needed to inspire confidence, harness innovation responsibly and enable trusted digital transformation.

Cybersecurity is often viewed as a technical challenge. Yet the questions at its heart are profoundly human: Who do we trust? Who holds power? And what kind of digital society are we creating?

Top five trends shaping the future of AI

AI is moving from experimentation to everyday reality. As increasingly capable systems become embedded in products, services and decision-making processes, organizations face a new set of questions.

Trade and development

In an increasingly interconnected world, resilient supply chains and transparent markets have never been more important. This agenda area explores how standards can support sustainable trade, strengthen product integrity and accelerate the transition to more circular economies.

Resilient trade, trusted markets: why standards matter more than ever

In a world shaped by geopolitical tensions, climate shocks and growing economic uncertainty, resilient trade depends on something fundamental: trust.

Digital product passports and the future of global trade

For centuries, trade has relied on trust: trust in products, trust in suppliers and trust in the information that accompanies goods as they move across borders.

Three agenda areas, one shared ambition
