Precipitation of carbon dioxide by an excess of barium chloride. Neutralization with hydrochloric acid solution using thymolphthalein as indicator. Addition of an excess of standard volumetric hydrochloric solution and back-titration with standard volumetric sodium hydroxide solution using methyl red as indicator.
