In this video narrated by CEO Jose María Escovar, we learn how Gerfor, a leading South American company in the production and commercialization of PVC and CPVC pipings and fittings, uses standards to make important savings.

For example, not using standards in product design engineering would not only take up to 10 times longer, but it would increase costs up to 5 times. Mr. Escovar reveals how standards opened up doors to global markets, and at 2:26 he shares what he thinks is the most important benefit of all.

This video results from a study on the economic benefits of standards conducted jointly by ISO and ICONTEC in 2010.
