In this unit the foundations or core structures of a document management are demonstrated. After a general introduction, the basic concepts of document management are introduced and the tasks and components of such systems are described. This is followed by a discussion of the structural and technical requirements which a document management system has to meet. The focus of the concluding section is placed on standards and specifications and their role in document management.

In dieser Lerneinheit werden die Grundlagen bzw. Grundstrukturen für ein Dokumentenmanagement aufgezeigt. Hierzu werden nach einer allgemeinen Einführung die grundsätzlichen Begriffe des Dokumentenmanagements erläutert, um danach die Aufgaben und schließlich die Komponenten solcher Systeme darzustellen. Im Anschluss daran werden die strukturellen und technischen Anforderungen an ein solches Dokumentenmanagementsystem vermittelt. Zum Abschluss dieser Lerneinheit liegt der Fokus auf Normen und Standards und deren Rolle im Dokumentenmanagement.
