The Department of Trade and Industry-Bureau of Philippine Standards (DTI-BPS) developed the Standards Blitz Programme, an intensified information campaign to increase consumer understanding of product quality and safety based on Philippine National Standards. The programme aims to promote standards, standardization and conformity assessment activities to high school students and their teachers; to businessmen, government employees and the general public nationwide. The programme includes fora, contests and seminar workshops on standards, visits to the BPS Testing Centre and DTI-accredited and recognized laboratories as well as materials and sessions for the integration of product standards into secondary education curricula.
