The revision of one of the world's most popular standards for environmental management, ISO 14001, has moved to Final Draft International Stage (FDIS). This means members have until 2 September to vote and comment before its final publication shortly after.

Check out some of the elements which should help make this standard have a greater impact on the environment:

The revision is the culmination of the work done by 121 experts members of ISO’s Technical Committee TC207/SC1 for environmental development led by ISO's member for the UK, BSI, representing 5 stakeholder groups from 88 countries.

It is due to be published and available for purchase from ISO members and the ISO Central Secretariat in September 2015. Learn more about the revision process.
