Case Study: Quality management methods and ISO 9000 quality system certification

This lecture deals with quality management and its relation to the ISO 9000 standards and helps to understand some essential approaches in quality management. Chapter 2 describes the phases of development in quality management. Chapter 3 introduces common statistical approaches and the concept of "Total Quality Management". Chapter 4 introduces the ISO 9000 family of standards and quality management system certification. A discussion of ISO 9000 quality management system certification in China is provided in Chapter 5. Concluding remarks are given in Chapter 6.
