This presentation reviews a community innovation survey carried out among firms in the UK on the theme "Why do standards enable innovation and constrain innovation?". The conclusions of the survey suggested that firms who responded that standards inform innovation and regulations constrain innovation were very innovative firms whereas firms who said the contrary were less innovative than the rest.
