Current work on a pilot project "Raising Standardization Culture in Education" in which teaching materials are being developed for secondary schools, on environmental protection and personal hygiene. Creation of "Standardization clubs" in secondary schools and in university standardization associations. Delivery of public lectures to academia.

The Rwanda Education Board (REB) is a public institution under the Ministry of Education, which is in charge of all matters related to curriculum development, student's examination and certification.

RBS is proposing a set of teaching materials considered important for students and teachers. Thereafter, they will be used to design specific modules at different levels of education (primary and secondary schools and universities).

Other qualitative impacts: A project under preparation will provide the content of teaching materials for primary, secondary and university level education. It also comprises activities to be undertaken by students as part of standards awareness within the community among schools and universities.
Actions in support of standardization: So far we have addressed awareness through onsite training of students followed by a competition for school students and thereafter a best performer competition between schools.
Other qualitative impacts: Teachers and students are eager to know how standards can help them.
Awareness of the importance of standards: Public authorities have accepted to partner with RBS because they are more aware of the importance of standards. Students are more aware of the importance of standards in their daily life.
Higher engagement: Engagement is higher.
