France - Fostering competitive intelligence

Conscious of the strategic importance of standardization throughout society, the renowned French engineering school Ecole Internationale des Sciences du Traitement de l'Information (EISTI) has introduced this discipline in its general education curriculum. EISTI has also created a dedicated standards programme within its specialized Master¿s degree in competitive intelligence.
Created in 2003 by Nicole Beauvais-Schwartz, the Master¿s programme is accredited by France¿s Conférence des Grandes Ecoles (Conference of Graduate Schools). It is open to graduates holding Master¿s and Bachelor¿s degrees who have at least three years of professional experience.

EISTI was one of the five finalists for the 2009 ISO Award for Higher Education in Standardization.
