Benefit of Legal Metrology for the Economy and Society

The study is an analysis of the economics of metrology, particularly legal metrology. It provides economic and social analysis criteria to assist legal metrology authorities to determine priorities for resource allocation, a rudimentary cost/benefit analysis of the main components of legal metrology and an analysis of the costs and benefits of State operated versus privatized legal metrology systems.
