Review of Developing Country Needs and Involvement in International Standards-Setting Bodies
This report aims to review those international standards-setting organisations that are of greatest interest to developing countries and to assess ways in which developing country participation can be enhanced. It focuses on five international standards-setting organisations that are of primary interest to developing countries, namely: International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), Codex Alimentarius Commission (Codex), Office International des Epizooties (OIE) and International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC).
