Release Date

Date on which a particular version of a standard is (to be) published.

Remarks

This element is part of the ISOSTS customization of the JATS journal publishing vocabulary; it is not part of the base vocabulary.

The <pub-date> element records the date on which (the first published version of) an international standard was first published; the <release-date> element records the date on which a particular version of an international standard is published. Later corrections, amendments, editions, and alternate language versions for a standard will all carry the same <pub-date> as the original publication; the different dates on which they are published will be reflected in different values for their <release-date> elements.
