The Mauritius Standards Bureau is mandated to develop standards and provide conformity assessment services such as testing, calibration and certification of products and management systems. It is also the custodian of national measurement standards for mass, length, force, temperature, pressure and electricity. Its core functional activities are undertaken by five technical divisions namely the Standards Development Division, the Metrology Division, the Quality Assurance Division, the Chemical Division and the Engineering Division. These divisions are assisted by the Support Services which include Finance, Marketing, Human Resource, General Administration and the Documentation and Information Services.
