Processes and procedures
ISO standards are developed through precise processes including several pre-defined stages in order to create an industry-wide consensus
International Standardization is a multi-stakeholders process involving industry, science, academia, consumer and governments.
As well as Standards, ISO also produces other deliverables, such us Publicly Available Specifications (PAS), Guides, Technical Specifications (TS), Technical Reports (TR) and International Workshop Agreements (IWA).
The procedures for developing ISO standards are defined in the ISO/IEC Directives and ISO supplement, three core documents describing basic procedural and drafting rules to be followed by ISO committees.
