31st ISO General Assembly
At the invitation of the ISO member for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) - the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA) - ISO will hold its 31st General Assembly from 12 to 17 October 2008 in Dubai.
Associated meetings of DEVCO (ISO Committee for developing country matters), TMB (Technical Management Board) and Council will take place at separate points during the week of the General Assembly.
As part of the General Assembly, an open session will be held on 15 October on the theme Buildings for a sustainable future.
The open session will address the expectations on international standardization in this area, highlight exemplary achievements and foster new avenues for the development of ISO standards to support the incorporation of new technologies and best practices for the construction and operation of the sustainable buildings of the future.
Participation is reserved for representatives of ISO members and invited international organizations.
