Includes the following 7 parts: general, including scope, normative references, conformance requirements, and test methods; definitions, general requirements; the shell command language; descriptions of the utilities in the required "execution environment utilities"; descriptions of the utilities in the optional "user portability utilities", for interactive users on asynchronous terminals; descriptions of the utilities in the optional "software development utilities"; language-independent interfaces for high-level programming language access to shell and related services; as well as normative annexes A, B, C and informative annexes D to H.
