    The 16 th plenary meeting of ISO technical committee ISO/TC 207, Environmental management, was held in Cairo, Egypt, from 21-27 June 2009, hosted by the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality (EOS). H. E. Eng. Rachid Mohamed Rachid, Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry, opened the meeting attended by approximately 250 representatives from 45 ISO member bodies and 11 liaison organizations.
