ISO 9001:2000: A workbook for service organizations is designed to make it easier for service providers to achieve the benefits, such as increased efficiency and effectiveness, of implementing ISO 9001:2000.
Although developed with service enterprises in developing countries in mind, the hands-on approach of the workbook has something to offer for service providers in developed countries too.
1 January 2007 is the implementation date for the new ISO 13-digit International Standard Book Number (ISBN) which will provide the international book identification system with increased capacity for the future, benefiting publishers, booksellers and libraries worldwide – as well as readers.
The newly separated republics of Serbia and Montenegro have just been officially assigned individual country codes by ISO (International Organization for Standardization) for use in multiple applications including Internet domain names, machine-readable passports and electronic financial transactions.
