ISO does not carry out accreditation or certification, but as an information service, it publishes an online Directory of ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 accreditation and certification bodies. This directory lists by country and with full contact details hundreds of certification bodies and the accreditation bodies that approve them. The accreditation bodies are those that belong to the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), an international association that represents the national accreditation bodies set up in many countries to verify the competence of certification bodies. The certification bodies are those are accredited by IAF members.
