This brochure provides the background, scope and ambitions of a Programme created and operated by the Japanese non-profit organization ArTech, that ISO is supporting and promoting, which seeks to develop environmental awareness among children and young people. By drawing on the organizing principle of the ISO 14000 environmental management system standards in their homes and communities, this Programme enables them to develop a proactive attitude to environmental issues and to learn from their own experience that their actions can have a beneficial impact on the environment.
