Scope:
Standardization of devices and apparatus for laboratory purposes, with respect to principles and to materials of construction, performance, dimensions and testing, as well as the terms and definitions used in connection therewith. The relative emphasis to be placed on standards of performance and on dimensional standards is to be decided by the committee, either generally or separately for each item.
Apparatus and devices constructed for personal safety aspects are excluded from the scope of TC 48.
