Some 1 500 building researchers, practitioners, officials, industry representatives and students from all over the world will gather for the World Sustainable Building Conference in Tokyo, Japan on 27 and 28 September 2005 to exchange the latest knowledge and experience on sustainable buildings.
Its slogan "Action for Sustainability" recognizes that now is the time to move into action towards the common goal of providing buildings and an urban context that support sustainable ways of living. Towards this end, the conference will focus on how to bridge the gaps between environmental, social and economic aspects, gaps between the stakeholder's concerns and gaps between the regional concerns.
Abstracts of 500 words or less are being accepted until 1 September 2004. Authors whose abstracts are accepted will be asked to submit full papers with a submission deadline by 1 March 2005.
This is the fourth event in the series of international conferences, which is now seen as the premier international event in the field of Sustainable Buildings.
