Security standards for today’s business world - One day international workshop
On 5 December 2005, the DIN German Institute for Standardization will host a one day international workshop, which will give an overview of the work of the technical committee ISO/IEC JTC1, Information technology, subcommittee 27, IT Security techniques, at its Conference centre in Berlin.
The workshop, which is aimed at executives, middle management, risk management officers, end-users and consultants, will highlight the new 27000 series of standards on information security management systems (ISMS), including: implementation and certification, IT network security, e-biz security, applying security techniques and security evaluation of products and systems.
Over the last decade, security has become an inherent part of a company’s corporate governance and strategy and standardization plays a major role in helping business achieve interoperability and cost-effectiveness.
