Third interim report on "Serbia and Montenegro"

On 2003-06-06 the Government of Serbia and Montenegro informed ISO Central Secretariat about the ISO 3166-1 country code elements preferred by the Government for representing the new country name in ISO 3166-1.

The ISO 3166/MA is voting on the proposal of the Government until 2003-07-04. Information on the result of the vote will be posted on this Web site in the week starting 2003-07-07.

The ISO 3166/MA again recommends that the code elements representing the country name Yugoslavia in ISO 3166-1 (YU, YUG and 891) be used for the new country name, Serbia and Montenegro, on an interim basis until the official changes in ISO 3166-1 are announced.
