Legal Assistant

To join our Legal Services / Intellectual Property, we are currently looking for a
Legal Assistant
whose key responsibilities will be to:
- Assist the Legal Adviser in protecting and enforcing ISO's intellectual property rights and in other legal matters including performing research;
- Perform and coordinate routine enforcement activities independently (requesting cease and desist of minor infringements);
- Maintain and improve the filing systems for physical and electronic documents related to legal activities:
- Assist the Legal Adviser in liaising with ISO member bodies regarding the enforcement of ISO intellectual property rights and policies in ISO member countries;
- Maintain and improve the monitoring and record keeping of ISO's intellectual property rights;
- Carry out research and analysis on the range and amplitude of infringements of ISO's intellectual property;
- Ensure administrative and editorial support as required (e.g. support to the Legal Matters Group, updating IPR Web site, etc.).
The successful candidate will be called upon to deal with confidential information, will have strong attention to details and excellent time management skills.
The selected candidate will have a university level education or equivalent, with training in dealing with legal matters. In addition, 2 to 3 years’ experience as a legal assistant or similar position and full proficiency in MS-Office applications are required.
