About NSAI

The National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) is an autonomous State agency, operating under the National Standards Authority of Ireland Act 1996, responsible to the Minister of Enterprise, Trade and Employment.

NSAI publishes Irish Standards, provides a comprehensive service of Product and Management certification, and operates the Legal Metrology service on behalf of the Minister. Irish Standards are voluntary and include a large number of harmonized European and international standards.
